Looking for some answers about our WordPress packages? Here are a few common questions asked before getting started!
-
The right platform depends on what your business actually does, not on what you've heard is popular.
If you're selling products, Shopify is almost always the answer. If you're a service business, consultant, restaurant, or non-profit, Squarespace or WordPress will likely serve you better. If you have complex functionality needs like custom databases, member portals, or advanced integrations, WordPress gives you the most flexibility.
And if you're not ready for a full agency build at all, Beaconomical might be the right starting point. It's our AI-assisted website service for businesses that need a clean, professional site fast and without the big investment. Most builds are live in one to two weeks.
-
Think of them as three different tools built for three different jobs.
WordPress is the most flexible. It can do almost anything, but it requires ongoing maintenance and a team that knows how to manage it.
Squarespace is streamlined and modern. It's easier to manage day-to-day and works beautifully for service-based businesses and brands that prioritize clean design.
Shopify is purpose-built for selling. If your primary goal is moving products online, nothing comes close.
All three are platforms we work in daily, so we'll recommend the one that fits your goals, not the one that's easiest for us to build on.
-
It depends on what you're building. If you're just getting started and need something clean and professional without a big investment,
Beaconomical typically runs $500 to $1,500 depending on how many pages and add-ons you need.
For a full agency build, a Squarespace site typically runs $2,500 to $9,500 based on design level and page count.
A WordPress site runs approximately $1,500 to $15,000 depending on design complexity, functionality, and page count.
Shopify e-commerce stores typically run $2,000 to $20,000 based on catalog size, design level, and custom functionality.
If you have a budget in mind, tell us in the form below and we'll tell you honestly what that budget can realistically achieve, and we won't upsell you into something you don't need.

Most projects launch in 4 to 6 weeks from kickoff. The timeline depends on three things: how complex the site is, how quickly you can provide content and feedback, and whether you need content written from scratch. The biggest delay on most projects isn't us….it's waiting on client content. If you come in organized with your copy, photos, and a clear sense of what you want, we move fast. If you need content help, we can assist with that too.
-
Not necessarily, but the more prepared you are the smoother the project goes. At minimum we need a general sense of your pages, your goals, and your brand before we kick off. For content itself…text, photos, and any existing assets, we'll give you a content checklist after our initial call. If writing isn't your strong suit, we have a copywriter on staff who can help for an additional fee. Stock photography sourcing is included in every project.
-
Yes. Every site we build is fully responsive and tested across screen sizes and browsers before launch. Roughly two-thirds of web traffic comes from mobile devices, so this isn't optional for us. It's built into every project from day one.
-
That's up to you. Some clients prefer to manage their own site after launch. All three platforms we work on are designed to be manageable by non-technical users. Others prefer to hand it off entirely and never think about it, which is what our Care Plans are designed for.
Our Squarespace Care Plan starts at $99/month and covers hosting, monitoring, content updates, and a dedicated point of contact who already knows your site. WordPress clients have a similar maintenance option. Either way, we're never farther than an email away — and you'll always reach the team that built your site, not a support queue.
-
Nope. That's part of how we keep Beaconomical affordable. Send us the update (a new hour, a menu swap, whatever) and we'll handle it as part of your monthly plan. Think concierge, not DIY.
-
No problem. Beaconomical is a great starting point, not a ceiling. When you're ready for something bigger (online ordering, a blog, more room to grow), we'll help you step up to a full custom build.
