Does your business have a Facebook Professional Services Page?

Facebook Professional Services Has A New Search Feature

Facebook is slowly testing and rolling out its new Professional Services search feature.  Facebook Professional Services helps you to find local businesses with the best Facebook reviews and ratings in their area, using a simple “Service & Location” search function.  Are you looking for “Web Design” in “New York, New York”?  Hopefully you find us!

The social network kings have compiled their own searchable directory of professional service providers, like web designer, contractors, plumbers, doctors, lawyers, salons, child care centers, and more.  This searchable feature is similar to both Google and Amazon’s latest efforts to connect their loyal customers with local services providers to compete with Yelp & Angie’s List.

Only time will tell the results, but we will keep an eye on the progress.

“Do I need to update my Facebook Service Page?”

In short…you should.  If the services selected in your company profile are incorrect, you could be missing out on potential clients walking through the door.  Those potential clients could potentially be going to your competitors.

If you don’t have access to your page, claim it.  If you don’t know how to claim it, or don’t have your own personal Facebook profile, contact your website administrator (or just call us, 212-321-0938).

Facebook also increased it’s features on the business pages by offer a call-to-action (Book Now, Call Now, Contact Us, Shop Now, Sign Up, etc.) buttons as new communications tools that make it easier for customers to engage with your company.

“Is it worth it to update my Facebook Services Page?”

With Facebook announcing that they have over 50 million active business pages earlier this month, that’s 10 million new business pages created since April.  You be the judge.
